Soft amber in colour, with tawny reflections. This has a caressing silk texture, at the crossover stage of Sauternes where the texture makes you expect an unctuous rich wine, but the flavours instead barely betray a hint of sweetness, focusing on bitter orange, lemon peel, lime, saffron, oyster shell, performing the trick of starting sweet and finishing dry. Noble bitterness is clear, almost closer to a vin santo than a young Sauternes. A quick cut of a knife on the finish and this ends clean, softened by waves of cold ash and campfire smoke. Exceptional.

Bolero is a classic Ruby Port made with Sangiovese & Frontenac; perfect after dinner with a little cheese or chocolate. It has a wonderfully smooth yet complex body with notes of cherry, cocoa, and mocha. It has a great balance of flavors with gentle acids and a sweet, lingering finish that make this a memorable dessert wine.

An organic port made in the traditional way. The house style is “meio-seco” (medium-dry) so while this is definitely a sweet wine it's not syrupy or jammy. Lots of plum and berry fruit is balanced with nice structured acidity and tannins.

Fortified red wine with a hint of sweetness. Tawny ports are matured in oak casks and have a slightly oxidized character. Notes of roasted nuts, berry cobbler, spice, espresso beans, toffee. Slightly less sweet than most tawnys.
