What’s In A Name?

We chose the name Helix as it has profound symbolic meaning not only in the world of wine, but also in the fermenting of beer and distilling of spirits. First and foremost, it is the shape of the corkscrew— an iconic tool used for hundreds of years to gain access to the mysterious elixir that is wine. It is also the shape of the Barchusen apparatus, used in distilling high purity alcohol as early as the late 1690s. And a helix coil can even be used by beer brewers as a false bottom on some mash tuns.

Just as the helical form is the shape of your DNA, and your DNA is a part of you, you should become a part of Helix.
